Programme Background

The automobile sector has been witnessing unprecedented growth over the last couple of decades. India has become production and sourcing hub for all kind of products and components for the auto industry. All the joining processes used in manufacturing, welding is the most widely used process as it produces strongest joints in metals and is permanent in nature. Welding uses heat and the use of pressure is optional. Welding has various types of joints namely, autogenous joints, heterogeneous joints, and homogenous joints for various application needs.
