Implementing Manufacturing ERP - Digital Factory - IMTMA/T012

Programme Background

In today's manufacturing context we need to be connected both internally & externally to take advantage of the business opportunities. The Digital Factory concept offers an integrated approach to enhance the product & production engineering processes, where simulation is a key technology within this concept. The concept of a Digital Factory focuses on the integration of methods & tools available on different levels for planning & producing the product and the related production & operative control of the factory. It increases the internal efficiency, speed of communication & management control to maximize resource utilization in all areas of operation. It provides a paperless environment for efficient real time management of manufacturing units. IMTMA Technology Centre has created replica of a Digital Factory engaged in batch production with all departmental functions – viz. Marketing, Design, Engineering, Purchase, Planning, Production / Manufacturing, QA, Assembly & Stores digitally connected through ERP.
