Machine Tool Testing & Performance Evaluation - IMTMA/M008
The value of machine tools produced in India has increased very much during last few years. Many small scale industries are engaged in production of machine tools competing with the large public/ private industries both from India and abroad. The quality and performance of product vary considerably from one manufacturer to another. At present the only yard stick followed for quality assessment of machine tool is satisfying the Geometrical Tests as per ISO/IS recommendations, which is observed to be inadequate for scientific performance evaluation of machine tool. To meet the advances in the machine tool developments and also the usage of machine tools, many new performance parameters have been introduced as standard methods for machine tool performance by ISO, ASME, in addition to the Geometrical test parameters.
The need for Productivity Institute
- Is your work place suffering from poor productivity?
- Do you feel that supervision is weak on the shop floor?
- Do your shop floor personnel find it difficult to achieve targets?
- You have the machine in place, but not the men to optimize usage?
Realizing the need to enhance the skill sets of fresh engineers in mechanical engineering to make "Industry Employable" and to mould them as per the company requirements, IMTMA organizes
The rapid growth of Indian machine tool Industry and the increasing sophistication of machine tool has created the need for a new breed of machine tool technologists.
