Programme Background

Technical capability is no longer the principal competitive determinant in attaining manufacturing excellence. Total Quality Management (TQM) is an integrated organizational effort designed to improve quality at every level. Key focus is on improving customer satisfaction, through meeting & exceeding in fulfillment of customer needs & expectations. Product, Process, System, People & leadership are the functional pillars on which TQM is based. TQM fosters a culture of continuous improvement in the organization, essentially through people involvement.

TQM is a journey that never ends and is a necessity in today's business context. It is also called Company Wide Quality Control (CWQC) and the TQM philosophy stresses a systematic, integrated, consistent, organization-wide perspective involving people and processes. This programme will provide an understanding of TQM philosophy, its benefits and impact on organization as a whole and steps in successful implementation in diverse range of manufacturing industries.
